RTSC Drop-In Days bring confidential, coaching-led support directly into the working day.
On agreed days, RTSC is present within the organisation, giving employees access to one-to-one conversations without referral.
The service works alongside existing HR, wellbeing and employee support.
Why organisations introduce Drop-In Days
No single route to support will work for everyone.
Some people will speak to their manager, approach HR or use existing wellbeing services. Others may prefer to speak with someone outside their organisation, particularly when they are still working through what they need.
Drop-In Days provide that additional choice within the workplace.
What happens on a Drop-In Day
Employees choose whether they want to have a conversation. There is no fixed agenda.
Conversations may include workplace pressures, relationships, confidence, responsibilities or personal circumstances affecting working life.
There is no requirement that an issue reach a particular level before someone chooses to talk. People do not need to arrive knowing exactly what they want to talk about. The conversation can develop at their pace.
The coaching-led approach provides space to reflect, consider different perspectives and identify practical ways forward.
Confidentiality and professional boundaries
Individual conversations remain confidential and are not reported back to managers, HR or the organisation.
Clear professional boundaries and safeguarding procedures are established from the outset, including when a duty of care may need to take priority.
Understanding workplace experience
Where agreed, voluntary feedback can identify anonymised themes and patterns over time without identifying individuals or disclosing confidential conversations.
This can add another perspective to the organisation's understanding of workplace experience.
Starting with a three-month pilot
Drop-In Days usually begin with a three-month pilot, allowing the organisation to introduce the service, review engagement and consider the next stage.
Frequency and practical arrangements are agreed with each organisation.
Could Drop-In Days work in your organisation?
If you are considering whether Drop-In Days could add value within your organisation, the first step is simply a conversation about your workplace, the support already available and what you are looking to achieve.
